dreaming of pain and anguish
as if it were the only release
available in life
without it you'd be trapped
in this depressing moribund place called life
what the fuck are you so afraid of?
all you want it pain and death
your sadness makes more sadness
you pass it around to all of your friends
people try to pretend that it doesn't affect them
but your pain is self-inflicted
though it makes you feel good
feel so very alive
everyone else just feels pain and sadness
if you must seek pain so desperately
at least have fun with it
start a fight with a nun
punch her in the mouth
well maybe not a nun that might be excessive
rather some stranger on the street
who looked at you funny
fuck a sports team
or a penguin
fuck an entire zoo
just stop wallowing
and enjoy the pain
of this terrible
wonderful thing
called life
