What I Deserve
I slit my wrist and cut my ankle
My upper arm and lower thigh
I'm bleeding out on sweat soaked sheets
Because I think I deserve it
You told me to kill myself today on the bus
Your friends laughed along
I didn't say anything, but nodded my head and agreed
Because I think I deserve it
I starved myself most of the day
Felt the way my stomach clenched with hunger
Ignored the food set out for me
Because I think I deserve it
You smacked my head
Pushed me into the shelf
You left bruises and some cuts
But I was the one to apologize
Because I think I deserve it
My upper arm and lower thigh
I'm bleeding out on sweat soaked sheets
Because I think I deserve it
You told me to kill myself today on the bus
Your friends laughed along
I didn't say anything, but nodded my head and agreed
Because I think I deserve it
I starved myself most of the day
Felt the way my stomach clenched with hunger
Ignored the food set out for me
Because I think I deserve it
You smacked my head
Pushed me into the shelf
You left bruises and some cuts
But I was the one to apologize
Because I think I deserve it
