I'm one of them now

A fire started there at my house.
People ran with fear.
Yeah, we had no defense plan.
Under the moons eerie light,
Lay mutilated bodies, bloodstains and burnt clothing.
Some survivors screamed of horror,
Others tripped over dead bodies.
As the undead filled the city,
I sat there and wrote a poem.
Focused on poem, scene, poem, scene and poem.
Nobody wanted to be infected, nor did I!
But the fire and gunshots ringing out excited me!
One infectious bite can take your life.
Unfortunately that happened to me.
This vicious walking dead took a bite….
Suddenly everything turned into darkness.
I was ridiculously hungry.
My balancing skills sucked.
My arms lifted straight in front of me,
Hands hanged with no strength.
There I was with a vengeful smile and soulless eyes.
I couldn't stop myself from chasing the innocents.
All I wanted was their brain
