what do I think of you -
I think you are elvish wings
fossilized & mistaken
For an imprint of tree leaf.
I think I am one of the few -
perhaps the only one, at that,
able to see that you are of
faery lineage, elf stock.
you are not your surroundings -
neither tree leaf nor rock,
you are elvish wings
tearing yourself free from things...

It's funny, I don't often look
back at the stuff I've written

No improvement needed here. I just love it, it reads so well. But yes, Lao Tzu says when work is done it should be forgotten. Then it will last forever. Only now I can remember it. :)
