Kissed by the lapping of the waves
A short tale of a lifeboats fatal trip..
Oh stormy sea
So fierce and mean
No man can beat
You mighty beast
A four man crew
You took them all
With one almighty sweep
Oh stormy sea
So cruel and fierce
No man can deny
They sailed that night
To save a life
Now all we do is cry
The mighty wind
Tossed the boat
Into the rocks and caves
Our men no longer by our sides
Kissed by the lapping of the waves

A very pleasant departure from your normal write geminisub. A tragic tale well told.
Thanks my friend. I am glad you liked it. The challenge was to write something with ''kissed by the lapping of the waves''.
Made me think of Seth Lakeman the folk singer. He writes of the sea and lost lives.
