The World Within

More than skin and bones are we
More than blood-vessels and
nerve-endings
By far more than words and
their supposed subjective
meanings
Not at all only proteins and
amino-acids that make up this
mortal-coil

No we are more than that all,
sentient-beings we are containing an
all-encompassing eternal soul, that
just like a seed grows
in a shell and what it will become
no-one can tell till its due-
process is done, even so our
soul grows within us waiting for
this shell to be shed and itself
to be reborn, anew, a new life to
begin
This body that we walk in only dirt,
that nourishes or corrupts this
next-lives rebirth
An incubation-chamber that caters
to tending-to our next-level in
the plane of existence

So although we don't know what we'll
be, we have ourselves to be mindful
of, so that we tend to our own souls
and if possible anothers also with
empathy
