Pretty Little Girl
I saw her walking down the alley
The light amongst the dark
A perfect pretty little girl
Fingers idly carving a mark.
She had radiant ivory skin
And hair like blazing gold
I admired her until she turned
I'd never seen eyes so cold.
My eyes were trapped in hers
She smiled a malevolent smile
I felt the thrill of fear
But watched her more awhile.
I was frozen still there
As she advanced towards me
I knew then if she wasn't it
She most definitely will be.
But I haven't a heart to kill a child
Though I was putting my life to lay
So I stood there and watched her
Waiting as life slipped away.
The light amongst the dark
A perfect pretty little girl
Fingers idly carving a mark.
She had radiant ivory skin
And hair like blazing gold
I admired her until she turned
I'd never seen eyes so cold.
My eyes were trapped in hers
She smiled a malevolent smile
I felt the thrill of fear
But watched her more awhile.
I was frozen still there
As she advanced towards me
I knew then if she wasn't it
She most definitely will be.
But I haven't a heart to kill a child
Though I was putting my life to lay
So I stood there and watched her
Waiting as life slipped away.
