Beneath Canopy Jaws
I walked along a curvy brick wall
On a moist path, in a frightful forest
Far from any home
Thousands of leaves
On this makeshift ground
Softening their fellows falls
Sound was nowhere to be found
Beneath the canopy's jaws
Dragging my hand lazily behind
As it rests and slides
Across the bricks thick thick slime
It's film drilled chills down my side
Moss deep beneath my fingernails
Innocent insects, killed accidentally
A most intriguing trail
Most others will never see
To abridge..
I've been having some...
Rather extraordinary dreams.
