Flattening Fences

Tonight I'll leave
your corporate corpse
to dangle its guts
from the tree outside my window
Let the world wipe its fingers
on your sorry asshole
as it strides by to catch the 8:15

The shivering clarity
of a week without weed
sex or coffee
means I can swop electricity
for candles if I have to
With impunity I can
uninvent the wheel
and rejoice
at the four point eight trillion reasons
to stomp on your throat

Bottle on the shelf
I shall sleep
grateful for the power of the wind
driving my latest love affair
with change
and the magic of no more work
