Viewpoint

for some reason sometimes I am not able to tell  
did you love it or hate it or think it was swell  
was there not enough sexy or did you think it
boring as hell  
or are you elated and it has rung your bell  
I sit here and ponder about all of this  
then it hits me that something has gone amiss  
and as I ponder some more about what it could be  
the answer is still alluding me  
but alas after a good night's sleep  
comes the insightful epiphany that I seek  
that if I don't want more co-dependency  
it's my own viewpoint that should be important to me  
so if you are there wondering too and not able to tell  
let me assure you, babe, I thought it was swell  
I just loved to talk and to be able to hear your voice  
conversing with you will always be my first choice
