City of Insanity
Breathe dust and creak with rust
Seep lust and drip with mistrust
Another night, Another street
Another light, Another meet
Strangers shake hands and leave
Cigarettes and marijuana leaves
Whiskey bottles and cokeheads
Another corner filled with hot lead
Graffiti in the city like a sea with a heartbeat
Feelings painted on peeling buildings
Sidewalks covered in moss and lost children
Parades for heroes come home again
Just a regular day in a city of insanity
A Catholic priest preaching Christianity
A pagan-hating preacher on the tv
A hurt teenager dancing to her cd
A shirt says “Only sheep lays with wolves”
While the predators wear sheepskin clothing
And the children drown in self-loathing
Just a regular day in a city of insanity
Seep lust and drip with mistrust
Another night, Another street
Another light, Another meet
Strangers shake hands and leave
Cigarettes and marijuana leaves
Whiskey bottles and cokeheads
Another corner filled with hot lead
Graffiti in the city like a sea with a heartbeat
Feelings painted on peeling buildings
Sidewalks covered in moss and lost children
Parades for heroes come home again
Just a regular day in a city of insanity
A Catholic priest preaching Christianity
A pagan-hating preacher on the tv
A hurt teenager dancing to her cd
A shirt says “Only sheep lays with wolves”
While the predators wear sheepskin clothing
And the children drown in self-loathing
Just a regular day in a city of insanity
