Guard my heart
from lust
Lord.
Guard my mind
from thinking evil thoughts---
I don't want to be
that person again.
Guard my mouth
from speaking evil
cursing and lies
for I don't want to be that
person.
Guard my hands
from doing evil,
though my soul wants to
do the right thing----
my hands doing the opposite.
Guard my eyes
for wanting to see evil,
lusting after sex.
Guard my ears
from hearing lies, rumors
and slander
for I only want to hear
is your voice,
your truth.
Guard my feet
from going left or right---
---just go straight.
Keep my feet
from taking the dark road
that sinners follow.
Keep my feet
from taking the white way
becoming a lover of you God.
Guard my soul
from the world,
the devil and all the evils in it
for it is never mine
in the first place.
