agasp in angst
against the grain
agape the ghost
in secret pain
in and out
beginning end
here and there
forever gone
yet back again
agreed
the severed
angel sang
to beg relief
to lift
the stain
as memories fade
beneath times rains
like flowers left
on unknown graves
so vain
in their silent
unheeded
calling

thank you Strider, most often many of my poems seem & are (admittedly) a bit overly wordy & I always justify, to myself, their right to be so, if that is how they come forth from me (my muse) into being... I trust in that... but then again, every now & then, my muse will have less to say & offers up, from time to time, much briefer, simpler, little unexpected treasures ('simple pleasures') like this one here, which oddly enough, seem to be just as satisfying & deep at times, as many of their much longer, excessively verbose, more linguistically dynamic 'cousins' & so I enjoy sticking a few of these minimalist impressions & insightful reflections in here on DUP every now & then, just to add a little contrast to my other (generally more peculiar) offerings & to share with my other fellow scribes out there, that indeed I 'DO' have that capacity in me as well... (my quieter, softer side...I guess?!)...
