Fantastic Lore: The Rise of String

~Now, if those of you who have been following the F.L.
story...now here is where I bring in my bro.
who begins to share in voicing some of the characters
Most primarily, String, Fuller, n Screw. u will
know his parts as I will initial his, R.W... Truly hope u enjoy the insanity
that follows! lol~

The Setting:
On an abandoned dock; late in the evening.
The Character:
“Shoe String” (who prefers “String”)
Addressing an assembled group of
ah...well—other characters.
This is his attempt to mount an ‘attack’
of utensils and other discarded,
used products mankind seldom pays
attention to...to ‘avenge’ the death’
and recycling of his cousin”
“Straw”... Time: Unknown.

“Yes! I love this; I love this plan.
Straw will be avenged – I’ll be the man!”
String shouted. He unraveled himself
and settled down. Then he cleared
his throat, “Okay, folks, gather around.”

‘Cup’ seemed nervous, “String,
they’re looking for us aren’t they?
We’ll be caught – we’re through…”
String interrupted, “Think Cup—
what can they do? Let them look all
they want to; we won’t turn away.
They’ve used us for years and”
we're here to stay.”

‘Screw’ unscrewed himself;
‘Bag’ filled up with air. They both
tumbled to the front of the crowd.
“Look here: I just want to know how
I can help. My life has been twisted
for as long as I can remember”,
Screw remarked. “I’ve lost count of
how often I’ve been forced to ‘turn right’
or ‘turn left’—I’ve had it drilled into my
head by so many people it’s ridiculous!”
Screw sighed.

“Yeah, well try competing with paper”
…have any of you been to the grocery
stores lately? “Do you want paper or
plastic”? Huh, I got so stuffed with food
that the clerk had to ‘double-bag’ me.
Talk about embarrassing moments!
Then I’m emptied, and stuffed under a sink.
Talk about how life can stink!” Bag exclaimed.

“Well, I hate to sound sarcastic but, isn’t this
just how life is for us? I don’t know if it’s worth
all the fuss” said ‘Can’. “Like you all, I—Can,
have had my days too; sometimes I’m filled
with fruit—sometimes”with stew. I’ve been
recycled, which makes me constantly re-think
my life. I can do anything I like. We’ve all felt
the pain of being rejected. Recently when I
was being inspected, a dent in my side
was detected. I was thrown away—dejected”
‘preached’ Can.

“That’s enough of this rambling tonight!
You’re either in, or out of this fight!”
boomed String. Can sounded uncertain,
“Well, I just don’t know; are you sure
you’re right?” “Listen Can, you can
‘open up all the worms’ you like, but this”
is a battle of might…!” yelled String.

“Umm, everyone, can we please put a lid
on it? Maybe everyone needs to calm
down a bit?” Cup offered her words as
calmly as she could. “Screw this!”
screamed Screw. “This isn’t what I came
here for…don’t ‘string us a long story’ pal!
I feel like I’m spinning in circles her. Yet,
these humans carry on without any cares.”
Screw was growing bitter.

Bag interjected, “Hey, I blew in here with
the other litter…I heard about what you
want to do, Shoe—and I say, let’s bag them
all...Bag is quickly interrupted  “String! It’s
String—and I appreciate your enthusiasm—
unlike my friend Can’s sarcasm. This is my
meeting. My meeting! I’m talking about
defeating those incredulous bi-peds. WE
make them ‘bread’ so they can stay fed.
They discard us like it’s a must. I don’t
know about the rest of you, but I’ve lost
my trust” said String.

“Can you make it sting any worse?”
remarked Can. “Okay, String; I’ll follow
your lead. But I’m going to be watching
for any misdeeds. Power breeds greed—
we have to always “keep an eye on
those who lead”, Can sunk it in
as Screw whispered to Can,
“I think I like you man..."
