no-one`s noticing
what`s happening
yet there`s change
taking place
nonetheless
 
cute little kids  
packed away  
for Sleep-Away Summer
upon return  
parents are stunned
as hideous creatures
two hormonious months spawned
spill off the bus
 
cellular churning
emitting
low level
yet incessant burning
coerced to endure treachery
from forces  
embedded deeply
supposedly programmed
via chemistry  
to serve as allies
for the continuation
of me
 
obla-di
obla-dah
life goes on
DUH !
 
yet what happens
when reality
does  
in NO way
match  
the Ideal`s harmony
when you are
John  
more than Paul
and you`re  
WAY more in tune
to the awful?
 
when everything`s
"beat"
going on
and on,
on and on
glacially
relentlessly
without respite
or apology
