she's been "talking" to my lifelong "friend"
it's good to know which worms
don't dig into earth well enough
to waste as bait, so long as fish
stay nutritious. And I can't dilute a snake
metaphor on a monument to spinelessness
too weak to slither, let alone constrict
so be it, extend fifteen minutes of semi
discomfort, into thirty or so, to tie them
as knots onto the bottom of helium filled
balloons, because they need new space,
before I blast them with a bb gun. My sky,
and the sun has been blocked too long by
a tornado, that is too quick to call my
mild breeze a storm
