The Broken Ground
The storm has faded and the winds have stopped singing
With the smell of rain lingering as the trees stand still in their place
The cold ground whimpers with the ending song of the trees
A small single melody begins to grow from the trees once again
Her sweet song embraces the warm air
Her song,the trees, grow with the wind echoing from the east
The sweet song embraces the broken ground
Her sweet embrace moves the broken ground's sorrowful heart to a hole
As the melody rocks the broken ground to feel safe, a fear strikes the ground
The ground starts to slip back into a broken state once again as the melody plays quieter and the ground is now broken again
