Lost

I feel so lost and confused. So unsure of where to go or what to do next. Like a puppy who strayed too far from home while chasing after pretty butterflies. Lost deep in the forest on a strange, dark path. I dont know if Ill ever find my way back this time. It seems the bread crumb trail, meant to lead me to the start again, has been eaten away by all the woodland creatures who relish in the chance to feast on my hopes and dreams. If I ever made it back to my former self, Im afraid my heart and soul have long been burnt to the ground. Ashes and a few dim embers are all that remains after the raging fire I once had inside smothered itself out.
