Disempower The Pain

blind my eyes
so I can't see
the pain that is
inside me
scrape out the color
and leave the white
douse the pupil
with blinding light
draw the blood
until they are dry
take from me
my blinded sight

bludgeon my mind
so I can't think
of the pain inside of me
beat out all of the
painful things
the relentless
sorrow
and misery
erase from me the memories
that slice me deep
and make me bleed

rip out my tongue
so I can't speak
of the pain inside of me
save the words
I've been vomiting
that stain my life
so sickening
draw me mute
and take my speech
so no one has to listen to me

tear the soul right out of me
save it
from the misery
wash it clean
of all the pain
repair the damage
I've sustained
charred to black
scorched
and stained
burns and scars
deeply ingrained

discard my spirit
and set it free
from the pain
inside of me
bruised
and broken
and bleeding still
cracked
and fractured
and cannot heal
destroyed by everything
that I feel
damage that
I cannot conceal
