Poison
Embrace
The fearful shadows
The haunting doubts
The crowd of terrors
The anxiety that I choke on
The depression society feeds on
The Scarlett red that drips down my arm
The paint brush in my right hand
As the art work on my arm screams with red
When nothing is left but to embrace the pain
To hug the blades tight and long
The sweet release of poison
That is intertwined with my blood
Poison that must be drained
Poison that must be removed
Poison that has no cure
No voodoo man can help me
I must embrace it
Embrace it before it kills me
Embrace the demon I push down
Maybe I'll be protected than
From society
From the shadows
From the doubts
From the terrors
From . . .
Myself
The fearful shadows
The haunting doubts
The crowd of terrors
The anxiety that I choke on
The depression society feeds on
The Scarlett red that drips down my arm
The paint brush in my right hand
As the art work on my arm screams with red
When nothing is left but to embrace the pain
To hug the blades tight and long
The sweet release of poison
That is intertwined with my blood
Poison that must be drained
Poison that must be removed
Poison that has no cure
No voodoo man can help me
I must embrace it
Embrace it before it kills me
Embrace the demon I push down
Maybe I'll be protected than
From society
From the shadows
