Breath of Liberty

Sipping on the acidic smoke
Testing, experimenting, discovering
Discovering the burn that itches the back of my throat
The strange aroma almost appealing
The toxic fumes filled my lungs
It was not painful nor was it pleasureful
Rather enticing on one hand
Not the substance
But the situation
Being bad; not worrying of consequences
To fill my lungs was to force away redemption
Whether it be redemption I wanted or not
In the eyes of believers I had made my choice long ago
My liking the beautiful gentle appearance of females as well as males
My wishing death upon myself
While my list could go on and on
As I released the contaminated air in my lungs
I released my care, my worries
I spit out the laws, and suppressed government I had always followed
I breathed in the liberty
The liberty and rebellion
And after that realization
I drank the acidic smoke
My throat; a lava flow
While music I did not know rang in my ears
The smoke wasn't complex
Simpler than simple
