Shrugging me Off
Why do you always shrug me off like I don’t even exist?
Pushing me away like a hungry cat, who keeps clawing at your heart.
The words I speak won’t have an effect will they?
Not when you keep pushing me away.
I have tried for life times to get your attention,
To just have you say that you like me too,
But why can’t I hear those words?
Is it simply too much for you?
Every word I speak,
Every message I send.
Do you even see them?
Or just leave them unread.
I try to bribe you with words,
With poems and speeches,
But you just shrug them off
And remain simply speechless
You must make an effort to ignore me,
For I try endlessly to reach you.
But you just leave me here
Thinking over spilt beer
My mind races,
With all my desires
A burning passion.
My heart’s on fire.
I will keep trying,
To make you love me.
But you’re far gone now.
Without a single together memory
