Blue Moon

I walk in the pale blue moonlight
where shadows don disguise
for all is grey with casts of blue
where shadows cannot hide
I look for you in shades of blue
the color of your eyes
although you’re far and I’m alone
my memory suites me fine
these walks we took
will hold me for a time
as with every step
time is spent
bringing me closer to a day
where we’ll walk at night together
in the pale of the blue moonlight
