My Serenity
There is a place in the woods I like to go
And sit and feel the gentle breeze blow
The sounds of birds chirping so free
And the wind whistling from tree to tree
The moss covers the ground as it grows
As thick and soft as great pillows
A creek trickles to my east
To the ears this is a feast
Many times I have gone for a nap
Dreaming of elves dancing in my lap
Down in a little valley this area does lay
Beautiful far more than words can say
A field open to my view in the west
Allows me to view turkeys and deer at their best
How peaceful it is when they do run
Watching them majestically have fun
As squirrels run from ground to tree
Oh how it insures my piece of serenity
And sit and feel the gentle breeze blow
The sounds of birds chirping so free
And the wind whistling from tree to tree
The moss covers the ground as it grows
As thick and soft as great pillows
A creek trickles to my east
To the ears this is a feast
Many times I have gone for a nap
Dreaming of elves dancing in my lap
Down in a little valley this area does lay
Beautiful far more than words can say
A field open to my view in the west
Allows me to view turkeys and deer at their best
How peaceful it is when they do run
Watching them majestically have fun
As squirrels run from ground to tree
Oh how it insures my piece of serenity
