Pray For Boston

it was said to be a day of joy
newtown survivors and families
lined up
cheering

smiles turn to screams
an explosion
then
another

dozens injured, few dead
the world
seems a horrible place
at times like these

i would
if i could
take back
every piece of destruction
the world has to face

but
i can't

thoughts and prayers goes
to those
affected by this tragedy
from something so horrible
i hope we can find

a light
a twinkle
something

to help the world realize
it doesn't hurt

to be kind
