.:An AMERICAN Pastime: Foul Ball Trying To Be A Home Run:.

(darn, you's such a fox)

got me stepping lively into
that batter’s box

with most popular pop ups
it’s them aces one faces
they usually don’t allow us to clear them bases
but my eyes were eyeballing you

they’d been scoping

maybe justa tad too early to do any major league hoping
but with you…I’m definitely-on-tha-tip-about-eloping

hmmm maybe tomorrow?

scarf an ounce, flat out bounce then
smoke up our sorrow
play @it independent like Bogie in Key Largo

(we won’t need no cargo)

improve our swing & everything
make up for the happy day-night we could be having right now

matter fact with some tact you could probably show me how
heck…let me grab that beach towel
cool things can cum 'round for a fan who waits
like a ball caught foul

::call it the fates

damn…me with you, I’m a genius…oh wow!
who would’ve thought we could
do this right now?
