Awake again it's two am
What else can I say but fuckin A
Can't sleep for shit maybe I'll take a hit
Alot on my mind I wish I could press rewind
Then I'd still be asleep instead of counting sheep
But in my bed I lay wishing it could be another day
Going to close my eyes I don't want to be up for sunrise

This poem is short but packs a punch, I can relate to some of the sentiments illustrated here; waking at 2 am thinking of taking a hit. Reminds me of my early 20's...

Oh to be in my 20's again...I could handle being awake this early...or maybe I was just foolish!That's probably what it was!In my old age I love sleep but I can't seem to stay asleep!

Love the rhymes, the frustration is palpable, nice poem! That's two insomnia ones recently though, Tommie, you should try my method next time: alcohol+an O=foolproof! Sweet dreams from now on, okay? :)
