Full & Feeble Longing

Why must I like you?
I fall to a fusing of commonality and a knowing of you,
 your yearning glance,
a flicker of burning flames never yet
   relinquished, cherished, loved.
I bare an open heart,
yet no one heed my calling swiftly,
 but violently,
  as they ignore me,
ignore my need to know them and thus I shed my longing,
    to ground myself again,
     remembering that I mustn't possess a love,
      but merely yearn one,
       feel the burn,
brush my fingers upon the scar
I observe, but not partake in the sentiment.
For love merely gives me inspiration,
you see,
I am as fickle as the phases of the moon,
  I love with ambivalence,
   but for you dear,
my love is constant and unrequited...
    once again,
I wouldn't care if you burned me for ages,
I'll find beauty in your darkness,
as long as i find comfort in your gaze,

our commonality and knowing of each other's souls.
