Wait For Me
The decision was made for us.
It was in our cards,
call it Fate.
You and I were made for each other,
specifically.
There is no other fit.
We are imperfectly perfect,
"A Beautiful Mess".
You make me believe there might be something 'higher' than this, than us.
We have beaten each other down,
over and over,
time and time again.
Taking turns annihilating one other.
Together we have risen.

Some people make their fantasies realities
The go getters
Ones full of confidence
I watch mine slip out of reach
Some people speak their mind
Like verbal diarrhea
Never shutting the fuck up
I keep my thoughts to myself
Some people find the love of their life the first time around
Happily ever after
Till death do they part
I've managed to lose count
Some people do everything right
The church goers
Volunteering their time
I don't believe in their god
Some people never feel pain
Loneliness, heartache,...

You deserve my sincerest apologies. I was supposed to protect you and I have failed to keep you safe. I'm ashamed of myself and my mistakes. I don't want to make excuses for my negligence but you have to admit that you gave me mixed signals. Every time he would come around you fluttered. Please get out of my head
I want to be left alone
Even in your absence you're always with me
I'd much rather be lonely
I don't want these thoughts of you
The whys and what ifs
The dreams
Made up fairy tales with happy endings
Although, my favorite is the one where I'm a Cupid
I shoot you in the face
Then you love me...so stupid!
My heart was broken before you
But I had it all taped back together
Now it's fucking shattered

Scotch is for beginners

I will try to fix you
With my lack of air
I slip into a dream
Not trying to fight it
This suffocations serene

Me sitting facing you

Whisper it right into my ear
I gasp for a breath,

Blurred vision
Salty streams
You've made a decision
In secrecy
Which has left me hanging
By fraying strings
Wishing you'd just cut them
I don't care if it stings
I hate this feeling
Of being suspended
At least if I'm falling
Ill know that it's ended
Grab ahold of me
And pull me to safety
Or take out your scissors
Ill try to fall gracefully

I'm trying to figure out why I'm so drawn to you.
Thoughts of you rush into my head so fast, and it's sort of overwhelming.
Mostly because I can't sort them out quick enough.
I catch myself all dreamy eyed, staring off into nothingness, thinking of your smile.
You've breathed life into an imagination I thought no longer existed.
I've let false insecurities give me bad information.
I'm done being "scared" of you, sabotaging my happiness and yours.
My heart, mind, and gut are the three factors of my feelings.
