POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I am a rank amateur, a Johnny-come-lately to writing. I have no education or experience in the skills of prose or poetry and so will gladly accept all the help and advice that others are willing to share.
The Messengers of The Gods
(submitted for 'superstition' comp.)
They are the ancient birds, the clairvoyant ones that flew within The Gods aura.
Charged with conveying enlightenment between the semitransparent mists.
Saving Pistis, the blessed spirit, lifted on blue wings away from Pandora.
Taking the Moirai's thread from Atropos, once Klotho had spun the twists.
The worlds converged, merged and synchronized into symbiotic stasis.
The Gods withdrew, but charged their emissaries to keep diligent supervision

Serving Suggestion
I bought a quick meal
It came as part of a deal
The picture shown looked like perfection
I turned on the heat
Salivating to eat
A meal named as Serving Suggestion
It was a two for one
Another feast yet to come
From the ready meal that is in question
Good grief it feels slow
Another minute left to go
Before eating my serving suggestion
The micro went ding
or was it a ping
Stomach growling in need for ingestion
I ripped of the plastic
To reveal the fantastic
Meal of serving suggestion
The peas had got lost...

Wish You Were Here
(Sorry Roger and the boys, too good a title not to use.)
Wish you were here
In my empty arms
Touching your heart with mine
Feeling our senses rise
Knowing that we combine
Into something,
That makes us feel as one.
No longer two.
How I want to touch you
In all your warm places
Making them warmer,
With each of my breaths
To hot to contain,
To hot to remain.
Within your aching flesh.
Touching you
With my knowing hands.
That learned to love you best.
Learned each hidden place.
That takes your breath...
Wish you were here

Touching your heart with mine

Words
Words
A single word
The power contained within
To inflict a great wound
Said in anger
Or said with malice
Said without regard for ones feelings
Sharper than any two edged sword
More powerful than any gun
Causing a hurt so deep
Ones very core of being aches
Leaving a marred soul that never heals
Causing bitterness and inflicting that pain on others
The power to take life without touch
The power of a word
A single word
The power contained within
To inflict a great wound
Said in anger
Or said with malice

The Desire within a Storm
In this endless, soundless solitude.
In the perpetual lonesome winds
of this dark evening,
you appear
Your white pale face
cold as a cloud
Light-less like the moon
Turned towards the enormous sky.
From a far-away land I tremble
with the unbearable agony of desire
Framing your porcelain face,
thin wisps of tame-less hair tremble
in the dark wind
Fingers extended, in pain?
In passion?
In prayer?
The corner of the sky grows heavy
...

The Emotions (inspired by Friendship)
The Emotions ( a work inspired by Friendship)
Once upon a time, there was THE original poetry site where all the feelings in the world would log on to write. It was moderated by the Four Dimensions, who were extremely liberal in thought and hardly ever intervened or became involved in the day-to-day posts and activity. Everything was composed and written by The Emotions; Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, Jealousy and all of the others, including Love. If an Emotion had anything to say, anything at all, they logged on and left their thoughts, waiting for any comments they other...

Relaxation - for 'drabble' comp.
Having fun and inhaling skunk
Isn't just for Trappist Monk
When you're freaking, all psychotic
Just lean upon some sweet narcotic
Society spawned, wild banshee
Only need to rebalance Chi
Smoke some dope, smoke some weed
Just a puff is all you need
Soon you will be feeling fine
Depressed to manic in zero time!
Incense covers the funny smell
Will you miss the odd grey cell?
Home, work, love all aggravation?
Sit back, relax and take medication
Grab your 'make-me-happy' bottle
Instantaneous full throttle
Introverted retrospection...

Butterflies in Dust
The half-light of dawn filters into the room, fighting its way through the smoke haze
Its beams are split and re-split into a multitude of rainbows or of Gods and angels
Or any dreams that I want them to be, just as long as they aren't dreams of you
Threatened by prospected obscurity, I sit in isolation. Alone. Despised. Rejected.
I need to remain awake to make these morning-mares disappear. I want to feel life again.
The necessity to feel something, anything, as long it is not your...

Wedded War-Fare
Walking on eggshell covered land mines
Diving from vicious verbal hand-grenades
Tripped by barbed accusatory wire
Soul-searching spotlight stare
Elocutionary Intimidatory Detonations
Picked off with point-blank protestations
Brought low with bombastic bullshit
Cut down by cynical criticism
Child enforced ceasefire cessation
Snarling, sharp, spiteful speech
Offspring usurped into open offensive
Negating natural neutrality
Scornful sardonic sniping
Vehement, violent verbal volleys
Dug-in defensive disinclination...

We Were The Best Of Friends (C.L. 2012)
We Were The Best Of Friends (C.L.)
We shared dark humour, you were the funniest people
The ones more than anything that I'd waited to meet
But at some point after leaving the Castle
You slowly turned your backs on me,
All of a sudden it had became too much hassle
So I found myself cast adrift, set free
I had given you every ounce of my strength
When you felt you were misunderstood by all
And now you've left, abandoned me here
Living back in solitude, waiting for the fall
