The pretenders
THE PRETENDERS.
There is a light at the end of my street, barricades block the road all the way.
There are people at that end behind the blocks they smile as they pass by.
It all seems so clear what they live for. No penny pinching there
They stand so tall braving the blinding light
Their shoes they shine with clothes so fine.
At my end of the street it’s darker.
The beggars sit for ever
Buyers buy and sellers sell
That’s all there is in this market place from hell
Shit for sale, don’t you all need it?
What else is there?
What can I...

the unemployed
Show me the way no pay today
Just another milestone to pass .
This is not funny but a joke to some.
Then there are them that hate with a passion
Who condemn then retire to their beds
To sleep soundly
Stirring up the cauldron for all to see
each other as nothing
But worthless useless cannon fodder
Yes, what about the war that’s
What you need us for
To take back the power and wealth for you all
Well here we come
Brandishing our guns
Here you go
On the run and
Running scared
People power
The revolutionary ire

WE THE PEOPLE
WE THE PEOPLE
Sending letters to the people who care, spending time in the warm summer air. See people, how they look so strange those people these people, who on earth has the answer? What are we supposed to do? What’s it got to do with you you are not even in the know with your alien ways and pride of place you know and we know how much you love to despise with your all so wise ways.
We are the ones who just wanted to live but you stole all that there was. You remind me of the devils spawn hell bent on your wealth and prestige do you not know you cannot get through the eye of a...

Christians
Passionate play that ignites the fire
Of love like nothing else can do.
So what now. Now that the days of danger are seemingly afar
And all the loving peaceful people
Bask in the glory of god and sip
The wine of helpless victims
And children wear their beautiful clothes while beggars go unnoticed.
The shame burns so deeply in its nations lust for power
And the psyche ,spurned, burns
Forever. While smiling faces
Peak into the sunlight pretending all is well so all will be joyful
In the dark.
Sweat toil and blood remain
Forever...

The fellowship
When the time came it was all over.
I saw, I came I conquered.
Then the bloody shining saw of evil came crashing down and I screamed for mercy only to be blamed for what others did and denied so many times.
The pain of life, the pain and agony of truth.
So who are you to know? So much that is true you said.
You said it was all over and gave the reply we all wanted to hear.
You are the ones to know so much.
You swore blind you knew the truth and then you walked away back to the blissful peace of your families. Hearts bleeding so much you hardly ever noticed you...

The Tories
Here they come again waging war against us all
who love to live and live to love.
The hate mongerers
The dirty stain that you can’t stop seeing
The power is theirs to voice their beliefs
To the powerless
And damn them all
While they laugh and cheer at the damage they caused.
The poor in pain, again the poor losing out
Blamed for all that they do.
Once again the levels of power
are unbalanced
And people push their way to the front
Of the bread queues
While the children look on in dismay
Paying the price of greed and selfishness...
who love to live and live to love.

My inheritance
Said you were proud of your nations past and present
But what were you doing today of all days
When the bands were banging in the street of dreams
When the people were singing of past glorious schemes
You sat there with your head in your hands saying why me
As if you could not understand
You did the deed that made nations bleed
And suffer so badly that they will never be cured
The world is at your command, or so you think
You stink to high heaven of the blood that was spilt
And still is pouring from the wounds
Of the masses of children deprived...

TO THE NORMAL
Get out and shout out my name I’m coming for you all
You spent your last dime and now the town is mine.
Hate conquered you you smelt your last rose.
I rose above you all, now the time has come.
Put down your swords, put down your knives
They are all useless against my fire and pride
You took it away and I willed it back.
The normal, the proper, the paid assassins
The guns are all turned pointing in your direction
See the bad man once good.
Who are you that see only the stars?
Well the sky’s blotted out for the only one who stays...
