Sunrise
On a snowy night 🌙
My mind is thinking about you, Sunrise.
It's been a while since I've seen you.
As I go to bed now,
I have set my alarm to 7:15 am,
So that I can wake up as you rise,
So that I can go outside to see you,
So that I can feel your warmth again!
Oh, Sunrise 🌅

MORNING
I woke up greeting the one who greeted me on a special day when he was pleased when my existence came to be.
A new life full of immense beauty, since he created me in his image at no price.
This bestowed me value among his creation because he created me in his beautiful image.
His presence is so exhilarating! When I get up in the morning and open my eyes, joy fills my heart when praising his name.

Ndamutse ndamutsa uwandamukije
Kumunsi utagira uko usa ubwo uwandemye
Yishimye abonye ubuzima butongoye
Butaratse imitana y’ubwiza butagereranywa
Ubwo yampaye k’ubuntu isura yumukomokaho
Nkagira agaciro mu bikorwa yiremeye
Kuko yandemye mu ishusho ye itagira uko isa.
Nigira uko isa koko! Iyo mbadutse mu busaswa
Nkubura amaso nezererwa no gukoma yombi
Ngondamutse nyakuberwa n’ibisingizo n’ishimwe
Nyagusingizwa nyakuratwa nyagukuzwa, nyagusengwa!
Nyirigira nezwa no kuguhanga amaso mu museke
Nutongore kuko arimwebwe mwabishatse ...

LONGING …
That feeling that makes your heart dips and
makes your mind wonders to how it would feel,
if and only if that longing can be satisfied.
Nowadays, I long for so many things.
Some I know that one day their longing will be fulfilled.
However, there is this deep longing feeling,
that cuts so deep inside because I know that it
cannot be fulfilled in this lifetime, maybe in the afterlife.
I am talking about that longing for a loved one who has passed on from this life.
How much I long to hear your voice calling my name,
seeing...

Let my Life Burn Bright as a Flame
Hunger, famine, and malnutrition are affecting vulnerable children, knowing that it is happening around the world boils my inside because I know how it feels like. Now that I am a grown-up, an adult they say, what should I do about it?
Knowing that there is a lack of basic education to the curious millions of minds of children, who are thirsty for knowledge drives my soul into the abyss of helplessness because I was once one of them. Oh … I am not a morning person.
Before my morning caffeine fix, I am a walking zombie.
On days that I have free time in the morning,
that magical time for you to do that thing that set your soul on fire.
I brew a fresh coffee at home using a French Press.
Brewing a fresh coffee at home using a French Press has become so therapeutic to me.
A strong and dark 100% Arabica roasted ground coffee has found its way to my palates, and my taste buds keep wanting more of it ever since.
Oh, that aroma …
That aromatic smell fills my lungs and
brings me back to life from...
