..simplicity..
Salt fat acid heat
This four way combo
Makes the perfect eats
Your flavors are so very fine
Especially paired with some nice red wine
Heirloom tomatoes, olive oil, salt and pepper
You really can’t do any better
Top it all off with fresh shaved Parmesan cheese
A bit of chopped basil
And oh my Gods please

..walk beside..
it's the way you follow me into a room
or no matter where i am
you find me to say hello or just to hang by my feet
you wait patiently
while i am gone
and think almost about nothing else till i return
our distance apart is pure heart break and longing
for your pure innocent and aching heart
you love unconditionally in a way i have never known

..current affairs..
as the world splits into
a two tier system
for some a language is born that requires no words
when the words of each side get shouted at each other
this non verbal language only hears and observes
feels, and moves to find safety in neutral zones
treading lightly is the way of the people making themselves invisible
to the gestapo
sometimes its the only way
to stay alive
assimilate as fast as possible

..meta analysis..
the mental volume has a way of turning way up in the silence in the stillness
the correlation of diet and exercise determine the nature of my thought realm
waking up to a sad cloud in my belly ignites sad thoughts that can rain down anxiety
and then i remembered the ice cream i ate before bed
oh yeah
sugar inspired sadness
caffeine inspired anxiety
alcohol induced depression
leafy green inspired happyness
water inspired clarity
and cardio induced energy boost
this isn't really a poem is it?

my little plants i love you so
i play you music, classical
sometimes upbeat some low key
anything beautiful makes you happy
i wonder if one day you'd like to live outside
to breathe in the fresh air and give the wilderness a try
