Letter to God
Hello God.
I have come to believe the conceptual idea that is you is odd.
You were pushed on to me at an age in which my reply to anything was to be awed.
But how long did you think it would take me to see past this façade.
Your benevolence was taught to me before I could comprehend despair.
If I behaved well I thought me from your wrath you would spare.
But in time I learned your mercy not your wrath was rare.
Can not help, but think it unfair.
Earthquakes, tornadoes, tsunamis they all rage.
A million diseases kill before old age.
Against us the earth...

They are the weak, the tired, the wretched, the broken
And together they make a nation
A nation of the disregarded, of the irrelevant
A nation that is to a healthy society an impediment
Though it is a nation in which all are equal
The whore, the prisoner, the thief, the murderer, the poor
Stand bowed shoulder to bowed shoulder
With the politician, the starlet, the CEO, the rich
A nation of equals racing each other to the grave
Drinking to drown themselves
Ingesting pills to cure incurable ills
Inhaling smoke to stop breathing
Injecting fire in...

Duplicity
I live in a world with lamp lit nights
I live in a world with mountains of plastic and metal
I live in a world of false lights
I live in a world I find frightful
I live in a world with pools of glass
I live in a world with oceans of still water
I live in a world of plastic grass
I live in a world where nature is error
I live in a world where men seek to be machine
I live in a world were machines are becoming men
I do not know the world I live in
I live in a world with mountains of plastic and metal
I live in a world of false lights
I live in a world I find frightful
I live in a world with pools of glass
I live in a world with oceans of still water
I live in a world of plastic grass
I live in a world where nature is error
I live in a world where men seek to be machine
I live in a world were machines are becoming men
I do not know the world I live in
