POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I have enjoyed writing poetry for several years though most of them are in notebooks and have never been read by anyone else.
Lost Soul
In the mirror is darkness
An uninhabited soul
Nothing more than a carcass
That needs tossed in a hole.
Fear of death lacking
Greeted with open arms
Demons inside attacking
I can do them no harm.
Grim Reaper laughing
His touch ice cold
I hear the gnashing
Soul has been sold.
An uninhabited soul
Nothing more than a carcass
That needs tossed in a hole.
Fear of death lacking
Greeted with open arms
Demons inside attacking
I can do them no harm.
Grim Reaper laughing
His touch ice cold
I hear the gnashing
Soul has been sold.

Laughing and Crying
Laughing and crying,
I feel the pain.
Laughing and crying,
Nothing stays the same.
Laughing and crying,
My heart hurts so.
Laughing and crying,
I have nowhere to go.
Laughing and crying,
People look and stare.
Laughing and crying,
Help they do not dare.
Laughing and crying,
I don’t feel the same.
Laughing and crying,
This is not a game.
Laughing and crying,
I make a cut to feel.
Laughing and crying,
It’s so hard to deal.
Laughing and crying,
Blood flows down...
I feel the pain.
Laughing and crying,
Nothing stays the same.
Laughing and crying,
My heart hurts so.
Laughing and crying,
I have nowhere to go.
Laughing and crying,
People look and stare.
Laughing and crying,
Help they do not dare.
Laughing and crying,
I don’t feel the same.
Laughing and crying,
This is not a game.
Laughing and crying,
I make a cut to feel.
Laughing and crying,
It’s so hard to deal.
Laughing and crying,
Blood flows down...

Who to Follow
Seek his wisdom,
They always say.
Turn to Him,
Day after day.
Lead yourself,
You may not.
It’s His direction,
That needs to be sought.
Narrow the path,
That you must go.
He will lead you there
Not the way of the crow.
For if it were simple
Come one, come all.
But to get there,
You may have to crawl.
His kingdom is grand,
One day you may see.
If you follow him,
And not me.
They always say.
Turn to Him,
Day after day.
Lead yourself,
You may not.
It’s His direction,
That needs to be sought.
Narrow the path,
That you must go.
He will lead you there
Not the way of the crow.
For if it were simple
Come one, come all.
But to get there,
You may have to crawl.
His kingdom is grand,
One day you may see.
If you follow him,
And not me.

Save Me
The love is true,
The love is real.
All alone,
Trying to deal.
Demons and voices,
Speak loud and clear.
Shut them out I try,
But I still hear.
I let them in,
like a good friend.
But I know,
The demon is within.
Care for me,
They do not.
They will watch,
As I die and rot.
Another victim,
They will find.
Can you save me,
In the nick of time?
The love is real.
All alone,
Trying to deal.
Demons and voices,
Speak loud and clear.
Shut them out I try,
But I still hear.
I let them in,
like a good friend.
But I know,
The demon is within.
Care for me,
They do not.
They will watch,
As I die and rot.
Another victim,
They will find.
Can you save me,
In the nick of time?

A Dream
In the darkness I see,
A different side of me.
Demons pulling left and right,
I'm not strong enough to fight.
Struggle and curse, I always do.
Why can't I be better,
Better than you?
You make it look easy,
As you go about your day.
I look at you with despise,
Try to wash the thoughts away.
But I only wash with the Demons.
They cleanse and set me free.
Always by my side,
I know they never leave.
Go away, go away, go away I scream.
I wake up,
Was it only a dream?
A different side of me.
Demons pulling left and right,
I'm not strong enough to fight.
Struggle and curse, I always do.
Why can't I be better,
Better than you?
You make it look easy,
As you go about your day.
I look at you with despise,
Try to wash the thoughts away.
But I only wash with the Demons.
They cleanse and set me free.
Always by my side,
I know they never leave.
Go away, go away, go away I scream.
I wake up,
Was it only a dream?
