Beautiful
A long long time ago, in the only galaxy we know of as
inhabited, on the only planet that we’ve ever known to possess life, there is a
race of beings known as humans. Like most species, these humans strive to
procreate, to pass on their genetics through generations. This primal urge does
have its stipulations, however, the most prominent being attraction.
Attractiveness, beauty, whatever you want to call it, has always played a part
in the procreation process. Women, until only recently, have been viewed mostly
objectively. They were seen as being there to birth...

Lie to me
Alright, I guess it’s time to be honest,
I got so used to living in a world where it’s beyond us.
Or below us,
Either way I know,
That I’m not the only traveler, weary on the road,
I got a map in my hand, but forgot my destination,
Walking round in circles and it pays to be patient,
It’s sad, man, like no one can be trusted,
Brutus brought the dagger to my chest and he thrusted.
Et tu brute?
I knew my time would come but why today?
I had a whole bunch of plans, on the tip of my tongue,
Didn’t feel the need to rush them, after all I’m so young,...

Change.
The world is changing,
That’s a fact.
No matter what we do,
There’s no changing it back.
So rather than sit here and watch the sky fall,
I’m rolling up a number, got red in my eye ball
Oh. So now I guess I’m thinking deeper,
But I’m flying high, too, like a fucking heat seeker.
Target locked, I’m headed straight for the status quo,
I might shock and awe a bit, but I’ll never change it
though.
I know that, I learned the hard way, see
I was working on improving the society,
And they were like “hey man, we know what you’re up to, ...
That’s a fact.
No matter what we do,
There’s no changing it back.

Currently I got no currency,
I got power; watch the current; see,
In the ocean, that’s the current sea,
It’s in the air too, always occurring, b.
Now check the last lap I just ran,
Lyrically running circles, or doing the, running man,
Exercise, or exercise your right,
To exercise your mind,
Expedite the rhyme,
Expect great things from the next verse,
Don’t knock the net worth,
Just assume what I got’s more of a blessing than a curse,
Feel the bass shake on the reverb,
The whole house knocking, neighbor’s like “we heard”
So hear this....

FICTIONAL PROSE

Turns out it was nothing.
You know that feeling you get when you’re falling, right
before you hit the ground? The feeling that pain is coming, and there’s nothing
you can do but watch as it flies towards you? My life, at this point, is like
that; except it never stops. Every breath I take, every move I make, they’ll be
watching me. I know that that’s a Police song, it doesn’t hurt to try to make
shitty situations more bearable. But seriously, at this point I really wish
that every little thing I did was magic. Bam, did it again. Alright, look, this
has got to stop. I’m trying to tell one of...

The same game.
Space is forever, it’s a mystery,
Like time it’s never ending, it’s infinite.
It’s so much bigger than my eyes can see;
I take off like buzz lightyear and get lost in it.
But don’t hate me for my moon walking,
I’m still down to earth,
Who’s bad? Look who’s talking,
You gotta prove what you’re worth.
So we all go chase the presidents come and gone,
And we build a fat stack, call it all our own,
Buy a house, try to make it a home,
You’re not alone.
But I’m not lonely either,
I know what I love, and happiness comes no cheaper,
I like a good...

Lesson Learned
This is a work in progress, if anybody has any ideas for how to end it, feel free to share.
See I never had the heart to do a good man wrong,
And I never questioned life I just live it right along,
And I rarely planned ahead I just took it as it came,
But it left me standing jacketless, in a heavy rain,
So I got soaked,
I learned my lesson;
Never take a step outside,
Now thought’s provoked,
Cocked like a smith and Wesson,
Never tell the truth if you can lie.
You know why? Because the truth hurts, at least that’s what they say,
And why go...

Keep it simple
Stand up; see the world from a different view,
Choose your own paths, they’re not laid out for you
Make a change; it won’t happen that fast,
But the things worth fighting for always get the last laugh,
Cause right now, people claim to be content,
But the content that creates that false sense?
It’s too shallow to provoke thought
Good thing the system runs without it,
So you live life just like you’re taught,
Follow a faith and never dare to doubt it,
See a true believer welcomes a test,
And a thought conceiver brings them the best,
Sure it takes...

Impossible?
Nothing is impossible? Try breathing on the moon,
Try stopping an apocalypse, cutting with a spoon,
Try feeding all the hungry, clothing all the poor,
Try spreading peace and love, and ending every war,
Try bringing back the dinosaur, or traveling through time,
Try living for forever, shooting lasers from your eyes,
Try walking on the ocean, swimming through the clouds,
Try falling from the sky without landing on the ground

Do we ever learn?
Ignorance is bliss, intelligence is misery,
We learn from mistakes, take a look at history,
We fought, we died, but we fought yet again,
War is never ending, no one ever wins,
Yet without a clear victor, the fight must go on,
It’s a cycle of destruction, peace is long gone,
What did we learn then, from our past mistakes?
We killed one another, regardless of the stakes,
But we never felt the need to change,
We figured it was worth the risks,
Now we count the losses and the gains,
What do we think will come of this?
Never say never,...

Spark a bowl
Swing low, sweet chariot,
And I'll swing high,
The torch? I'll carry it,
Let's light up the night.
It's with the help of my friends that I get by,
When their help's not enough, I just shut my eyes,
And I see people hiding from their darkest fears,
I see sad people drowning in their own fuckin tears
I see the best minds wasted,
The worst ones paid,
I see good men get taken,
Bad men get saved,
I see the world as it is, and it makes me shudder,
I try to think good thoughts, but I'm stuck in the gutter,
Only one thing pulls me out, you see,...

We're racing?
How many roads must I walk down, before I find my home?
I keep walking, but I’m tired, could you throw a dog a bone?
I mean point me in the right direction, maybe give me a map?
I’m down with finding my own way, but could I at least get a
path?
Cause I’ve been walking my whole life, got holes in my
shoes,
The soles of my shoes, look like the soul’s been abused, it
ain’t new,
It ain’t different, I been lost before,
