I am 34 years old. I have been writing poetry since I was 14 years old. I have since had 3 published poems. I write a variety of genres now. My passion is to write things to inspire others. I have been married for almost 12 years and have 4 children
LOVE POEM

sometimes love is upside down and twisted
I thought he was my friend,
but he was not my friend.
He was caught up in evil the entire time.
The evil of his companions he has always been
around on the other side of the screen.
The time he spent trying to figure me out,
trying to accomplish his ultimate goal,
to engulf me in the evil he was surrounded by.
What I am thinking when I still think, pray and write
about someone I thought was my friend.
But the experience has taught me to be cautious.
I now see people living in a close location to me,
surrounded by the evil he was or is...
but he was not my friend.
He was caught up in evil the entire time.

rejoicing in the Lord
Dear Lord,
Thank You for all the blessings brought into my life, I see people's attitudes transformed before my eyes. God You are good and You have taught me many things. I appreciate everything. Thank You Lord, life is full of blessings and answered prayers. I rejoice that everything has turned out in Your light Lord. That the people of my life have found You. I pray for those that have not found You Lord I pray for them from the tops of their heads to the tips of their toes. Thank You Jesus for answering so many prayers. Amen

Answered prayers
You Oh Lord have not forsaken those that seek You,
in every part of my life You have molded me and taught me
the depths of my soul are not hidden from You oh Lord,
You know my weaknesses, my sadness and my joys.
You Oh Lord teach me to transform my weaknesses into strength.
The fears that used to shake me,
have taught me courage,
to inspire others with the words of the song.
Lord every prayer I prayed,
for everyone I prayed for,
I have seen the transformations,
I felt the pain of the pruning,
when bad things were taken from my life.

LOVE POEM

My Haitian pearls
I sit here with this pearled necklace,
that was given to me as a blessing,
The deep depths of my heart they did find,
with the love that was embraced,
the experiences and the love and
yet now something is wrong,
my first pearl no longer has my song.
I hold my pearl necklace attached to my heart,
when the orginal pearl disappeared
and tears rolled down my cheeks
so many times,
in search of my pearl and it came to my mind,
and although I miss him,
and think about him sometimes,
he left this beautiful
necklace that is...
that was given to me as a blessing,

STORY POEM

cold of heart
The coldness of the walls,
against his hands reminds him
of the place he is in,
with the plate of sand they expect him to eat.
The bible underneath his bunk bed,
and the sound of screaming 2 cells down,
thoughts of her run through his mind,
as her words are still strong as ever
running through his mind,
but she saw through everything,
every scheme and he let her know to much,
let his guard down,
and now rats,
scurry across the floor
eating the crumbs left over
from his hard biscuit,
and un-compassionate soul...
against his hands reminds him
of the place he is in,

Have you been fed today?
Has anyone told you today that you are loved?
Has anyone made you feel appreciated and let you know how special you are?
Has anyone assured you that you are exactly who you need to be?
And that in simply doing what you love to do, you are doing enough?
Has anyone reminded you that you didn't come here to prove anything?
You just came to be you, just YOU.
Because being you is enough.
You are one of kind,
a true original,
a masterpiece of incomparable value....,
And without you the world would be incomplete,
and you are...
