POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I am a poet open to criticism and the most brutal of critiques.
Maw of Oblivion (Work in Progress)
Here is a lengthy poem about some dude making his way into hell. It is kind of gory at the end but not really. I'm still editing and grooming through this, but any feed back is welcomed feed back!
~Maw of Oblivion~
Unto the maw of Oblivion I dare to stand.
All alone without the company of man;
So as my madness drives me deeper within,
Doing so without a look back and by the guide of my hand.
Stabbing through a peerless darkness swallowing even the slightest of light,
Engulfing all around me, nothing surfaces to my sight.
Deep into this...

And so it's spring
Did you hear?
It's spring.
Spring in the air, everywhere.
Not in my hair.
No only in the flippin air.
Birds a chirpin
Deer a screwin'
Hell they're screwin any and everywhere
Anywhere but my freakin hair
The other day I caught one drinkin a beer
Crying to soaps on the T.V.
I told everyone....BUT NO ONE BELIEVED ME!
Oh how I wish spring wasn't here
But all I can do is cry as this deer sobs in my favorite chair
I know I shouldn't care
But it's hard to get anything done now that spring is in the air
I suppose this...
It's spring.

Fear
All alone in this land where I dwell
Deep within the sorrows of my broken shell
You shed such a light unto this dark oblivion
A maelstrom of fear forbidding me to let you in
I love you and this is no doubt
Without you, I could not live without
But every time I reach for your graceful touch
One glance into your eyes remind me of how much love can hurt
And so as the shadows of the past linger out of sight
In a capsule elusive to time
Infecting my thoughts like a merciless disease
Sending my heart into woe and misery
I know you’re...
Deep within the sorrows of my broken shell
You shed such a light unto this dark oblivion
A maelstrom of fear forbidding me to let you in
I love you and this is no doubt
Without you, I could not live without
But every time I reach for your graceful touch

~Epiphany~
Of all things bent and broken
And things stolen without token
Speak the heart of all unspoken
Dare to live a lie unbroken
Here the shadows of silence dwell
Deep within the jungles of hell
When all the world began its fall
In a time when greed ruled it all
In this light casting such a shadow
From a prayer desperate for the morrow
Behind a smile which likes to play
Told by eyes that speak of what you long to say
And so as I mourn in tears
Of the things distant and near
As my mind floods the greatest sea ...
And things stolen without token
Speak the heart of all unspoken
Dare to live a lie unbroken
Here the shadows of silence dwell
Deep within the jungles of hell
When all the world began its fall
In a time when greed ruled it all
In this light casting such a shadow
From a prayer desperate for the morrow
Behind a smile which likes to play
Told by eyes that speak of what you long to say
And so as I mourn in tears
Of the things distant and near
As my mind floods the greatest sea ...
