so.... Catch me up on your conspiracy
Tell me why lately I'm left out
I hope you didn't "let her think"
That she is what we're so mad about
I heard how you cut her hair tonight
Now suddenly it's an awkward time
As I recall last night wasn't good either
and this isn't by your design
so.... Catch me up on your conspiracy
and tell me why lately she's been coached
She seems distracted when we do talk
inconsolable when I approach
Why use our daughter to reign me in
then you'll bitch when it doesn't work as planned ...

A Year of Change From Bittersweet Farewell to New Beginnings
What a difference a year makes.
When I heard Greta Van Fleet earlier, I damn near felt the ghost of my late wife flick me in the ear to remind me of life with her.
Oh yeah... It instantly brought me back too - last July on our final road trip together; 2023.
Kara had this vocal crush on Josh Kiszka and loved “You're The One,” so it's a song I played a lot around that era.
I remember driving down to Wheatland, California (the long way around) to check out my own vocal crush, Ed Roland and his band Collective Soul. They were playing at the Hard Rock? ...

I wound up a widower
in the autumn of '23
Never thought it could happen
but now take a look at me
She left me with unpaid debts
and I'm supposed to survive
wolves are beating down my door
and she's no longer alive
Cardiomyopathy
with no monetary wealth
Asymmetrical heart shape
is some things that plague my health
I live back home with my mom
who's also a widow too
She broke both of her ankles
This is something I help her through
We're both worthless to MAGA
Project 2025?!
They want to repeal...

Something in me must be broken
as I try to lie down at night
My dreams all turn into nightmares
that keep waking me up alright
Ones where I drive semi again
with no idea where to go
Ones where I've found some strange places
without a good map to follow
Ones where my logbook’s out of date
like that test I haven't studied for?
And NEW problems seem to find me
I've never encountered before
Ones where I get into a WRECK

Here we are together, my love
and there’s that look in your eye
You tell me I’m the one you want
I am the luckiest guy
The bridge of your nose wrinkles just
before that smile grips your face
It lets loose all those butterflies
I feel when we both embrace
Our hands fit perfect together
and our heartbeats run in sync
Maybe some things were meant to be
Feel free to tell me what YOU think
We’ve been in each other’s orbit
as two strangers our whole lives
Pretty much living parallel
longer than both of my wives

Once upon a world at war; July 5th 1943??? Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Winston Leonard Churchill were knee deep into their bombing campaign against Adolf 'no middle name' Hitler.
This was known as “Operation Pointblank” should this question ever decide a CITIZENSHIP?
During this offensive??? The United States would pool in (just by itself???) over a million and a half TONS worth of Earth chewing noise makers in order to help carve out all that strategic European countryside in an attempt to castrate Charley Chaplin's fascist soup-strainer twin.

Hotel Tango
Equinox in a couple of days
finds me right back where I began
I 'm running laps to beat the band
as a professional wheel man
It's typically steady tonight
for an indian summer's eve
But during my Mary-go-rounds
there's this asshole I can't believe
The street, traffic and neon lights
have already replaced the sun
Of course the radio is broke
making all this that much more fun
And I'm braking laws like a fiend
getting from Point A to Point B
Texting and passing on the right
and my seat belt's loose - honestly
...
finds me right back where I began

The Rockies
Well? Once upon a trucker's eve
and with a million miles to go
Grabbin' hard west out of Denver
and the passes were full of snow
Neither Eisenhower or Vail
were particular kind that night
Then there's galloping on tire chains
under the moon; big bulb of light
Might as well been an astronaut
as my climb plateaus near the edge
The headlights made the flakes appear
like I'm traveling through space I allege
Rosebud pucker factor 7
denim almost gnawing my seat
Bouncing up and down on air ride
my stomach and heart at...

Every day feels like Christmas

even though it's up for debate
They're strewn across the house and yard
taking up precious real estate
Dictatorship and loud gossip

Everything is a mystery
and this girl is a scientist
Other hobbies we may include
beside monologue recital
She's a motor mouth from way back
but can't provide a sub title
She lords over her 2...
