My Angel
I was once kissed by an angel
I have once touched the sky
I was once shown what it's like to fly
How lucky I am
To have the memories
To be able to say I found something beautiful
Something pure
Something most people will never know
I found a love that saved me
That changed me

Love it's been so long
But you're still the meaning behind every song
The inspiration for all of my poems
When I look at my reflection I still hear your voice
I have to love the way I look I don't have a choice
You told me I was beautiful and that's all that comes to mind
I'm still stuck on your words you left far behind
When I look at the sky I'm still reminded of you
You made me feel like I could touch it when you said "I believe in you"
The sound of my laugh reminds me of you

Hope
Hope is a beautiful thing
It helps us through the hardest times
It helps to ease the pain
It gives us life
It brings the light
It's what gives us the strength to survive
But than you gave me hope...
Hope is a terrible thing
It can be crushed with just a few words
There is no way to describe how badly hope being crushed hurts
It's like a knife twisting inside of you
the hope spills out with your blood
You try to pull the knife out but the damage is already done

Sinking into the dark abyss

Or the birds in the trees
We don't have to bring up feelings
Or the way it used to be

All I ask is that you talk to me
I miss the sound of your voice
I miss the way laugh
I miss the way you say your words
Just the sound of your voice gets rid of the pain
Life without the sound of your laugh is dark

Butterfly
You come and you go
Like waves on the sand
It's like that magical moment
when a butterfly lands
You'll kill it if you try to hold it in your hands
Like a flame without oxygen
Trapped you can't breathe
So I'm never mad when you have to leave
If you like a flower you pluck it
If you love a flower you let it grow
I can't even begin to describe how deeply my love for you flows
So be free my love
Spread your wings
You need your freedom like all beautiful things
I'll be here patiently...

I wish I have a way to take away the pain
To go back in time to the day we met and just stay in bed
I wish I had a way
I wish I had a way to never fall for you
but then I remember everything you taught me
everything you said
the way you taught me to chase my dreams and never giving up on anything
