~oPuS~ Revison
Slipping away to the place I come from,
where I can't hardly breath, I find comfort in pain.
Sliding barefoot across the razor's edge of madness,
then turning right, just shy of my insanity,
because I don't want to get left.
Day tripping to the dead zone,
with booby traps and IED's
carefully placed along the way,
in case someone gets in or I get out.
I arrive upon a gate made of solid alabaster,
smooth and cold to touch, like the face of death.
Too heavy for me to push open, too slick for...

~ Brass Princess~
You were concieved in passion
Just before the fall of your Camelot.
The first born, the only son of an only son.
Your birth was met with bliss on tap,
King Midas filling his challis and drinking you in,
intoxicated with infinite pride.
He is immortalized this day, able to live on, in you.
King Midas's boy Prince, cast in gold,
to preserve a perfect genetic blend of both he and his queen.
You and light share so much in his eyes,
the sun's reflection off your cheek,
illuminating the way, where the Kings darkness once hid the path...

~Don't Look Back~
We drew a line in the sand then crossed it in opposite directions.
Passing me, you moved stealthily forward,
your eyes fixed on a future without me.
You passed by with such deliberation,
so fast that when I reached for you
my hand only caught the cool breeze left in your wake.
I shivered unlike any other way I had before,
when I'd felt your gentle wind caress my body.
The temperature, polar opposite
of that zephyr that cooled me on hot summer days.
It carried with it a different scent, the taste unfamiliar.
It took on a foul...

~Who Will Be Responsible?~ Revised Version 5/2/2011
I asked myself, "How could I let this happen?"
I watched it spinning, collecting the dirt and pollution around me,
so much that when I held it up to the sun it refracted
a rainbow hue that almost made it beautiful.
I cast it up into the cosmos, out into the universe
hoping that it would come back different, or not at all.
Anxiously, I waited for it's return, looking directly into the sun,
I was blinded
A piece had torn itself away and it remained firmly before me.
Frightened and unable to see past the sunbursts in my eyes,
I tried to...

~ Ci Vogliono Solo Due~
Two shots of hate fired off from a mouth, it's reverb as loud as a gun.
Not for love or money, that's not why they kill, this genocide's not for fun.
Two deafening blows in a religious war, another jihad has begun.
An eye for an eye, a soul for a soul and one man's son for another's son.
Young lives end before they begin, in an age old war that will never be done.
Two white roses placed atop a coffin, a strong wind blows, it leaves only one.
Ashes to ashes & dust to dust we pray, under the setting of a bloody sun.
Two thousand children are trained...

~What's Your Truth~
I see you there, sitting in your rocking chair. You're acting like you don't care, but I think you do. My brazin' attitude kinda' made you feel like you got screwed, but it's notyou that was pinned under that screw, now was it? The things that you remember in the December of your life don't include the strife or the pain of that knife that twists inside me, that you've blinded yourself to see. Why is that, Aunt B? You heard rumors you said, while I was being dragged from my bed as my mother bled to look at your "poor brothers" bump on the head that he got while he was scorching hot and in a...

~Sadistic-Indifference~
I know youfind my pain amusing. Hoping that confusing, all the fact's of what we were, will help you to deter, the endless lonely nights, fighting for your rights, as a grown up in this life. But all grown up's deal with strife. So mesmerized by the sound of my heart cracking, that you don't realize you arelacking, what it take's to make you feel. As Ipenetrate the cold steel, encasing an empty space, keeping seeker's from that place because they won't find anytrace, of where your heart supposed to be. You remember me, clawing at the vault, taking blame without fault. Withdrawing from the...

~Missing You~
You ran or buried your head in the sand, from what? The bills that didn't get paid anyway the weight of your life coming to fruition without definition and now there's no place to lay your weary, tattered, battered, head to rest. Where did the confusion transfuse itself into an illusion that life would create a path less taken and forsaken all other's keep only unto a frightened little boy child as mommy cradle's his ego in her arms. Wrapping him up in a chloroform soaked blanket just long enough to keep baby sleeping soundly, never to awaken unless the sound was mild.

~It's Just That Simple~
My flowseem's quitecommon,
even simple at times.
Juvenile to some, maybe,
because mostly itrhyms.
It won't flow in fiction.
No,I can't write a lie.
My life's inmy "flow",
it's just how the words fly.
I relive my childhood,
the cause and it's effect.
The sin's of my "daddy",
I'm attempting to correct.
These issue's still haunt me,
just read me and you can tell,
He lives on inside me,after his death,
Separate on earth, but togetherin hell.
I write to help purge him,
to maintain control,
It's not about...

Is It You?
I can still feel his soul burning inside my own,
as his disease courses through my veins.
For all his sin's I shall atone,
while hell's fire on me rains.
Looking in a mirror as he looks back,
His jawset with a wicked grin,
I tried to break the mirror but only made a crack,
It won't set him free, but now I can get in.
It's time to stop hiding behind my reflection,
Stand and face the damage you've done.
I lay my soul bare for his inspection,
As I squirm in the web he has spun.
Hold on... Where'd he go? How'd he disappear?

If, if..., (Re-write 3/12/11)
If I were yourheart beat...
Would youreach inside yourselfand rip me out,
to stopmy cadense from creating a new rythym to your music?
If I were the sun...
Would you walk in the shadows,
to keep my warmth from touching your skin?
If I were the wind...
Would you hide behind a rock,
to keep me fromflowing across your body?
If I were a tinyblade of grass...
Would you mow me down,
to keep me beneath you?
If I were running water...
Would you bottle me up,
to sell to the masses?
If I were your joy... ...

~True Love~
I always dreamed in the darkness of thenight, that true love, I wouldhave to steal,
because in the brutallight of day, true love, was never forreal.
In my dreams, in the warm summer dusk, truelove, would captureme,
but once I was caught, I'd awake from my dream and true love, would set me free.
You heard past the whitenoise in my dreams, tothe darksound of my silent cries.
Youopened my heart with thelove in your ownand then youopened upmy eye's,
the other loves in my life that hadleftme alone, were clearlynever meant to be,
because your love's the only love that...
