POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
my ink comes from the heart and sometimes a dark mind
Tippng Bitters
Standing stark naked and sober
The day seems so deafening, loud and bright
Shining a light on the emptiness that eats at my soul.
No quiet for my mind
Anxiety wiggles inside me
Boredom, the mundane driving me mad.
Then sweet night comes and I tip my bitters
Mmm so warm in my belly lighting up my soul
Giving me the armor I need to quiet the din.
Mellowing me out
Feeding the phene in me
Swimming in its dark loveliness.
Somewhere in the distance
I remember morning is coming
Sigh another stark dry day.

Shadow Soul
A shadow is blown across the city streets
Whipped about here and there like a lost scrap of paper carelessly discarded out of someone's car window
Blown down a twisted sidewalk it slips through the cracks
Down deep below the Earth into the underworld the shadow floats through a tunneling maze.
It hears the rumble of the subways as they snake their way through the ever lasting labyrinth
Sinking ever deeper it see's societies of people who abide here
The shadow soul wonders after these people and listens intently to their...

The Land Of Illusion
Speaking in tones of grey.
My mind aches with pain.
Anxiety crawling up my spine.
Disillusioned.
The paint peeling off the walls.
Counting each chip.
Black flakes mixing with blood red.
Tryingso hard to make allthe pieces of the puzzle fit.
Through the mirrorI see my face reflected back.
Ten different versions of my facestaring back at me.
Who are you lady?
The powers that be ask me.
Questioning me constantly.
You live in a world of...

The Litany
A litany of words flow through my brain
No quiet, no peace
Until I put them to pen
Illusion, reclusion
All noise pollution
A forest of words
I make my way through them
Fire, desire, passion
A maze of words
Demanding satisfaction
A litany of words
Make my head whirl
Speak us sweet Crimsin
You're our girl
Death, darkness and betrayel
Speak my litany
Sweet Crimsin
Prove you are faithful
A desert of words

Meditation
This evening I meditate
Into the night sky
Touchng the ether
Past the clouds
Amongst the stars
Into the cosmos
Striking a chord of harmony
Within my soul
All creation sings with such beauty and majesty
The splendor of the moon shining bright this glorious eve
Bringing me to life
Swimming in the ocean in my minds eye
Feeling her ebb and tide
All mother Earth thrumming with life
Every man, woman and child
Connected to her

Raw
Exposed naked flesh
Stripped of its meat
Filleted inner guts hanging out
I wish I could stick it all back in
Holding my innards in my hands
Feeling so raw it hurts
Fingernails down a chalk board
Singing in my mind
I'ma fighter I will shove my innards back in
Staple my guts shut
The sword drove home
Dug deep in this soul
Ravaged by anger
He Promised me my soul was his to keep
I have a weapon of my own and i'm going to use it

My Mom
My mom I never really got to know her
I have vague memories of her kindness but strangeness
She heard voices and would become manic
I'm ashamed to say even as a child though I loved her
I was also embarrassed by her eratic behavior
I loved her she had such a kind soul
Would take me to mass and though I would sguiggle and squirm
She would kindly admonish me hush little one and listen to the priest
These are my fond memories of her
Mostly I was an angry little girl
Left alone most of...

One In The Chamber
Theres a bullet in the chamber of my heart
Ricochetting agaist its newly fleshy insides
Causing me to bleed out myfeelings
Best kept hidden
I hate being human at times
So many emotions
I can't control
Drugs for so long had made a wall of steel
I was at home in my isolation
A bullet in the chamber of my heart
Piercing my soul
Overly sensitive now
My barriers down
I hate feelings I wish I could kill them
Bury them in an inpenetrable grave ...

Methadone
For thirteen years
You held me in your bossom
Me so drugged up
Unaware I was in prison.
Everday I rose early
To drink your bitter juice
I was always in a crunch
To get my methadone and feel that rush.
I was kept isolated and alone
Swimming in your pink loveliness
It was all I needed to feel right at home.
No feelings, no love
No one could get in
No emotions allowed
With methadone this being unforgivable sin.
Awake...

Gg
I wrote a poem about blocking the world out
Mostly this is true
Though lately my heart has been touched
By afirey hearted dreamer like me named Gg
My barbed wire heart
Has been touched by her kindness
I love the dreamers here
They inspire me to keep writing.

Nephilim
The angels of old
Cast their halos to the ground
For a taste of female flesh
So voluptous and beautiful
Sublime women no angel could resist
They burned with a passion
They knew they must have them
The forbidden fruit
They decided i'll be damned
Each claimed a woman
For themselves
Made love for the first time
Created celestial beings
Hybrids giants of old
With powers of persuasion
Walked among the humans as Gods
Shaking...

Taking A Look In The Mirror
I Judged too harshly
We all think differently
I wish I had a more logical brain
In which to see the world with
I envy those straight thinkers
I'm dreamy and illogical
I pointed the finger at some one else
All the while being condescending in nature
For all i've been through
It seems I have a lot to learn
Have some real heart
Point the finger at myself
Take a good hard look in the mirror
Maybe learn something about my fellow man
We all think differently
