This high energy you cant prevent
Tried to bully our boys trip and fall
But at the end they all stood tall
After ref ignoring head-but crime
They snuck it in in dying time
The shoot-out under fucking pressure
Colombo has now took the England measure
Desperate Columbos playing dirty tricks
Smashed it through despite the licks
Well done lads a great display
Smash Sweden this coming Saturday
Go on Southgate

I guess I was a cliché sucker in denial
but now I cannot help but smile
a world of mediocrity is on the way
and each waking moment will be filled with dismay
you will be cooking his tea every day
while your belly swells with a kid on the way
he will soon get bored as you pile on weight
start coming home every night late
its not I am angry or hate
but good things come to those who wait

Sometimes I miss the old city
I just found that urban decay so pretty
An alternative scene that i could relate
A city of contrasts love and hate
So close to the wild places
Comfort in recognising the familiar faces
Sharing family dysfunction with innocent eyes
In a city violent taught to despise
A place that shapes formative years
A strong industry in pharmaceutical careers
Under snow confetti a stolen kiss
Sunlight sharing a moment of ecstasy bliss

Become much less than component parts
Scrutinised as I am torn apart
Replace them all with new awareness
Feelings replaced by unfeeling numbness
No hope, no fear, no love, no pain
No things to confuse my rewired brain
Survey the world with detached estimation
Free from the guilt and manipulation
No truth just logic and errors not lies
This frozen landscape I visualise
Remove them all at your discretion
Become much less than component parts
