The truth about me
My thoughts are jumbled together.
There's so much I want to tell you,
And so much I need to tell you,
But where do I even begin?
The truth about me is complicated.
Maybe that's all I should say,
But than you'd start asking questions,
And I'd feel pressured to tell you.
Every time i think about telling you the truth,
I feel as if I really should be dead,
But than you'd have to grieve over me twice.
The truth about me I simply can't tell you.
Why?
Because I don't know the truth anymore.
I don't really know if I ever knew...
There's so much I want to tell you,
And so much I need to tell you,
But where do I even begin?
The truth about me is complicated.

One more time
One more time.
I've said it too many times,
But here I am saying it once again.
One more time.
Ill pick up my blade,
And make a new scar.
One more time.
Ill tell myself
"You're such an idiot."
One more time.
Ill ask myself the same questions:
"Why won't you stop?"
"Why won't you listen?"
"What's the purpose of doing this?"
One more time.
Ill cause the ones I love pain.
They'll ask me,
"Why do you do this to yourself?"
One more time.

Don't let go
Your life is spiraling downwards.
Your "friends" don't like you anymore,
And their parents don't want you to be with them.
You feel like one big mess,
And you don't know what to do with yourself.
The thoughts of suicide creep Inside your mind.
They've been here before,
But now their back.
These thoughts are so persuasive you decide to listen
Because you feel as if there's nothing left for you.
You are so sure you want to commit suicide.
You feel as if nothing can stop you,
Until a part of you becomes scared.
You are torn...
Your "friends" don't like you anymore,

My life is not as perfect as it seems.
You may see me happy on the outside,
But on the inside a battle rages on.
You say you want to be like.
Honestly you don't want to be me.
Depression is something you don't want to battle with.
I am amazing because I can handle life?

Time ticked away
You look yourself in the mirror.
The person you see standing there is recognizable.
Suddenly, the reflection in the mirror just crumbles away.
You wonder how could you let your life crumble like that?
Everything you ever wanted you had,
Until it all slipped away.
But how could everything just disappear like it was never there?
You have no answers for your questions,
But even if you did you wouldn't know how to explain them.
Tick - tock.
You here the clock.
A spark of hope lights you up.
You hope the clock will have some answers for you....

"I promise you I'll never leave you."
I've heard this too many times
like it's on repeat,
or broken record player.
You fall in love with a boy.
He says he loves you too,
and he promises to never leave you.
Your love for him has blinded you.
Look at yourself now.
You are devastated because he broke his promise.
He left you.
What is love?
As a teenager how long do you expect love to last?
You have your whole life ahead of you,
and you decide to fall in love first.
Your heart ache has just begun.

I lost a best friend
Have you ever lost your best friend,
and there was nothing you could do to get them back
because the damage was already done?
That's me.
I lost my best friend.
She truly believed I was talking behind her back when I wasn't.
I tried to explain,
but she wouldn't listen to me.
Next thing I know she cuts me off.
It's not the first time she said she'd cut me off,
but this time she was really serious.
What am I suppose to do without my best friend?
Move on,
and find a better best friend I guess.
It's crazy though

Happy Fathers Day
Happy Fathers day to a father that was there from the beginning,
but since you got sick life hasn't just changed for us,
but has gotten harder.
There's not much I can do for you,
but be your little girl.
I cherish all the memories we made from going bike riding all over Brooklyn,
to lining up wine glasses and shooting them.
I don't know when you'll go,
but I love you,
and even though you don't remember my name I know deep down you still know who I am,
and that I'm you little girl.
I love you dad!

Perfect Life
You have this image of a perfect life.
Everyone and everything around you needs to be perfect.
No mistakes, no slips, just perfection.
You have high expectations for me that require me to be perfect.
I have high expectations too,
But they require me to live up to my own standards.
We are going to Europe,
And you said if I make one mistake you won't take me away anymore.
You say you are not threatening me,
but what else am I suppose to think.
You think you're so perfect.
You think you know what I'm feeling.
Truth is you never know...

Battle Scars
People on the outside will never understand us,
and why we self-harm.
No matter how hard some try and understand they'll still ask, "why?"
We will answer their question truthfully,
but to them our answers will never be good enough.
Society dooms us to hell.
They whisper lies,
and spread rumors about us:
"We are freaks."
"We are crazy."
"We are satanists."
"attention seekers."
And people wonder why we think life is so cruel and cold hearted.
It's unfortunate to say our own families are outsiders.
They love us, ...
