POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
If the grass is greener on the other side, then water your damn grass.
Someone Once Told Me
Someone once told me, to touch the sky
someone once told me, to dream at night
someone once told me, to kiss the sun
someone once told me, to have some fun
someone once told me, to die in happiness
someone once told me, to lie and regret
but now, noone tells me anything
I go by my own judgement
To live and to be free, that's how I perceive it.
Never let the bad stuff get you down.
you don't need anyone else to encourage you.
it's something you have to do yourself.
any good thing about you, it's inside you, and it wants YOU to bring it out....

Shades
The curtain pulled itself tight
the records kept spinning
the dishes lay dirty in the sink
I stay up all night
the thoughts of you are winning
I can't make myself think
The words cut like a dagger
the blood drips crimson
the rusty blade thrown away
you sigh with laughter
the love is ending
it fades day by day
(Chorus)
I can't keep my hope
just locked up in misery
I'm the only one I know
and the thought's are killin' me
the shadows are still too bright
the blade of the knife is dull, so right
why can't I hide...

The Last Drop of Water
Grandpa had been in the hospital for weeks, battling the dangerous disease. The doctors had told him he would be lucky enough to make it through the week, but he pressed on. when the time came, he had us all called down to his room; he had a few things to mention to us all. He thanked us all for standing by his side, and making his last days comfortable, but he nagged about how we waited until he was almost gone to start paying attention to him. "Now, I'm not gonna nag you to the grave," grandpa said while chuckling. We didn't take to heart with his griping because that's just him...

The Solution? Or just another internet abstract rant?
This world is filled with hatred
why can't it stop?
it burns me on the inside.
is it necessary?
I yearn so much to make it end.
but who am I?
I can't do much.
but what I can do, is teach others about kindness and love
and to treat others as much as you'd like to be treated.
The media likes to expose these groups and give them publicity
but that's what they want.
we need to stop giving them attention.
We should take their presence and use it for good.
use their publicity to draw in crowds, start a donation pool and donate the...

The Grass on the Other Side
The grass is green everywhere
but to us, it seems greener across the fence.
why? Why do we believe it to be so?
All grass is the same.
All grass grows the same way.
Grass is grass.
Grass is a metaphor for our own actions.
Stop worrying about the grass.
Be greatful for what you have.
And just remember, there is someone out there who has it worse than you.

The Galaxy
In the dark night, the stars shine purple, dark blue, ominous red; casting shadows upon the darkened Earth.
In the dark night, the sky is alive, radiating it's light to the world that never sleeps.
In the dark night, the planets orbit our earth, spinning in a constant orbit, never stopping.
In the dark night, the galaxy breathes excitement, exploding with activity that will last until the end of time.

What If?
What if the creek flowed backwards?
would it change it's beginning and end?
what if the crops grew in opposite season?
would we be affected?
what if the wind blew warm, instead of cold?
would we love it more or less?
what if the rain tasted sweet?
would we dance in it more often?
what if we all changed our perception?
would we begin to see differently?
would it change it's beginning and end?
