POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Swallowing gulps of dead water. Arms swinging, Legs kicking. Tears leaking into the black, A dying wish to live.
'Round N 'Round Again.
We're doing that tiring routine,
It's on repeat,
Skipping the split second decisions.
Again.
I can see the tears fall,
No matter the distance separating.
Your beautiful chocolate eyes cloud,
As I clutch to the memories made.
This time,
I fell to my knees,
As I watched you walk away.
Sobs racking my body,
And my chest aching.
Wrenching.
I can still remember the first words,
I spoke to you.
"Love hurts.."
It's on repeat,
Skipping the split second decisions.
Again.
I can see the tears fall,
No matter the distance separating.
Your beautiful chocolate eyes cloud,
As I clutch to the memories made.
This time,
I fell to my knees,
As I watched you walk away.
Sobs racking my body,
And my chest aching.
Wrenching.
I can still remember the first words,

Keep being told, if I ain't writing, then I'm lying. But it feels like it's lost. Gone and out of reach. The feel of this pen, is unfamiliar and not explainable. I'm scared it's just done for good. Yet I write to express and get through tough situations. I'm going through some bullshit now, yet this paper is half empty, and my hand shakes as I hold the pen. I've tried just starring, just squeezing the damned ink pen, 'til it's near in half. Feels like there is no cure, and I'm being told I have to breathe without it. Live without it.
My heart and soul. Just a hollow shell. I need my own...

Can You Tell.?
Baby this grip is slipping,
My feet are walking away.
Can you tell?
I can't stand the chattering,
My eyes only observe.
A stance frozen in anxious rocking feet.
Stiff and questioning.
I don't know if I comprehend.
Is it really that easy to express?
Showing all your soft spots,
The weaknesses you try so hard to lock.
..I can't even cry alone.
Yet can you see the dimples peeping,
I enjoy the small things.
The almost invisible,
But they shine the brightest,
In the darkest closets.
I might have a light...

I'm Just..
This ache in my chest,
Is the hit the face,
Reminding me I'm still here.
I can't be sure,
That breathing this stale air,
Is worth all this chasing.
The pond water shows the hidden secrets,
Reflecting my green eyes back.
Dull more the next sunrise.
Empty shades of colors,
Of the past and present.
I drown in music,
And get lost in the seas of memories.
Daydreams the bright light.
I can't remember the last real smile,
The true emotion gone;
Painted over,
Paved.
These words might not hit you right,
But I'm...
Is the hit the face,
Reminding me I'm still here.
I can't be sure,
That breathing this stale air,
Is worth all this chasing.

Rusty Key.
Music sinks in with the surroundings,
As my dull gaze captures the old flaking wallpaper.
Tears threaten and tease,
But I'm so far gone.
In a world,
Free of worries.
Just another daydream,
With another day passed.
My fingers graze the side of a pill bottle,
But here,
They're not mine.
With a smile,
Light and careless,
I step one foot in front of the other.
Green orbs find the door;
Locked,
Chained,
Scratched.
But I can feel the weight in my scarred fist.
I hold the key to escape.
To the hidden peace,
I've...

We Found Love.
We used to be glued,
Hip to hip.
You attacked with bear hugs,
And forehead kisses.
I hid my face,
The red cheeks glowed.
I miss that,
The old love we carried.
You threw it away.
Stepped on a year together,
Avoiding the reason why.
I still see the deep chocolate gaze,
But it's not mine anymore.
I keep walking passed,
The sound of your laughs echoing painfully.
We found love in a hopeless place.
Hip to hip.

My Sky Tonight.
These bones,
They ache with the shakiness of dying warmth.
My eyes watch the night sky,
As my heartbeat shortens.
Twinkling tears trail,
With the unforgettable memories on repeat.
The wish to continue unsure.
Shadiness of black and white,
Battling their forces,
Both shaking a different flag.
Once bright green orbs,
Dull with hidden pain,
Tortured,
Suffering.
Yet they rake the glowing sky,
A small gleam of happiness.
The last view,
My midnight stars.
They ache with the shakiness of dying warmth.
My eyes watch the night sky,
As my heartbeat shortens.
Twinkling tears trail,
With the unforgettable memories on repeat.
The wish to continue unsure.
Shadiness of black and white,

For You.
Hid you deep down under,
Chained in the back.
Locked.
Shoved aside for you,
I'll fight that war.
My monsters subdued short-term,
But i'll conquer yours.
Watch that frown turn into something new.
I'm still covering your back,
Yet mine is scarred.
My hands are bloodied;
Innocent,
Guilty,
No longer keeping up.
I see that wide, unforgettable smile once again.
I'm dead,
Bruised and battered.
My desire to see the next day gone,
Brutal and satisfying,
The last breath for you.
Chained in the back.
Locked.
Shoved aside for you,
I'll fight that war.
My monsters subdued short-term,
But i'll conquer yours.

Ignore The World.
I took in the blistering sun,
And the soft whispered wind.
Watched numbly as the leaves flew,
And the grass fingers blew.
Just sit outside,
My back slowly reddening,
Perhaps burning.
My head in the turning clouds,
Thoughts and ideas continuously spinning.
Ignore the world,
So focused on mine.
I can see reality through the broken mirror,
A deceiving fantasy.
Pain and misery reflecting on shards.
Stuck watching from afar.
Like a star in the midnight sky,
Frozen,
And forever miles away.
Only to watch the mistakes made,...
And the soft whispered wind.
Watched numbly as the leaves flew,
And the grass fingers blew.
Just sit outside,

Not my Fight.
Scared.
An emotion I'm not used to showing; Feeling.
But it's appeared,
Flashing true colors.
Pumping and coursing through my veins,
As I decide.
A year pushed past before I realized I need to face you.
My fears.
My true throat screaming nightmare fears.
Square off the loose ends,
Walk away.
Sounds so easy, Too easy.
But I'm tired of this fight.
A fight that started before I got in; Or out.
I might not do it today,
Tomorrow,
Perhaps this weekend.
But I'm tired of this fight,
I'm tired of hiding these scared eyes.
I...

Nightmare or Reality?..
It's point blank,
No loops or bullshit involved.
I can see the broken faces,
The tears trailing down.
A nightmare so close to reality.
It wasn't a magic trick,
We all knew it was hiding yet developing.
I couldn't find the stronghold,
My grip painfully ripped off.
Unable to hide the pain,
My own tears betraying.
Trickling;
Tears,
Ruby red.
I watch myself sink to the stained floor.
A bottle or two lying around,
Paired with that broken dripping razor.
Watch as my eyes droop unwillingly.
