The Battle With Myself
I'm Just passing some time
Lost in this rhyme
While I grapple through my night
As the demons resurface
And attack me with purpose
While me and the past reunite
I choke on the smoke
From the fire they stoke
Slowly melting this heart of gold
Happiness is deferred
Attempting to heal with words
And tend to these wounds of old
I fight with all my might
Yet victory is not in sight
Nor is the light of day
So through the darkness I roam
This darkness, now my home
These demons are here to...
