POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
My name is Amanda and I love poetry. I can bring a rose to life, bringing its perfume into you mind, reminding you of its beauty with poetry.
To Love Someone
To love someone is to die
a terrible death.
Not because you love them;
it is because once
they are gone
your heart will fully
understand the loss.
a terrible death.
Not because you love them;
it is because once
they are gone
your heart will fully
understand the loss.

Autumn lives
Of autumn we think of its color
,its change and covers.
Such beauty comes
from the depth of heat,
as the summer makes way
for falls wake and bow.
Aw what beauty awaits
dressed in her Auburn gown?
Her beauty beckons with
red, yellow, and brown.
Autumn lives for the cooler ground,
the wind’s and tree’s,
the cool coming of winter’s breeze.
They kiss like lovers do,
dancing like dancers do,
taking one breath at a time.
Autumn is here,
she’s already bowing
kissing winter...
,its change and covers.
Such beauty comes
from the depth of heat,
as the summer makes way
for falls wake and bow.
Aw what beauty awaits
dressed in her Auburn gown?
Her beauty beckons with
red, yellow, and brown.

Beckoning Star's
Of dusty dreams
and forgotten wishes,
falling from the heavens
I fell for you, as star’s do.
My shimmer
dazzled and amazed,
as my tail grazed the sky,
I leave wonder in your eyes.
and forgotten wishes,
falling from the heavens
I fell for you, as star’s do.
My shimmer
dazzled and amazed,
as my tail grazed the sky,
I leave wonder in your eyes.

Your Shadow
In darkness I deem,
in light I brighten,
I lack and bend light
at my whim,
the wind blows right
through me.
I am of your form,
true but not at all like you.
Your Shadow I am.
in light I brighten,
I lack and bend light
at my whim,
the wind blows right
through me.
I am of your form,
true but not at all like you.
Your Shadow I am.

Nightmare
Upon the waking of a dream
I watched as reality steamed.
Dripping wet with tears of sorrow,
all seamed doomed;
yet here comes the marrow.
Upon the waking of a dream,
I watched as it melted at the seams.
Dreary,
I fell into worry
and doomed digression,
all became dark,
full of murky depths,
and monsters whom leaped
at me from the darkest dreams
I ever dreamt.
I watched as reality steamed.
Dripping wet with tears of sorrow,
all seamed doomed;
yet here comes the marrow.
Upon the waking of a dream,
I watched as it melted at the seams.
Dreary,
I fell into worry
and doomed digression,
all became dark,
full of murky depths,
and monsters whom leaped
at me from the darkest dreams
I ever dreamt.
