Exposure Of The Heart
Pour your heart out to me,
I long for nothing less,
To hear your hopes, your needs,
Your sorrows, fears, and dreams.
Pour out your joyous heart,
the fading memories of good times long ago,
the thoughts of days frolicking in the sun,
the snapshots of events trapped inside.
Pour out your yearning heart,
the desire that smolder deep inside,
the hunger that drives you day and night,
the cravings you won’t tell your best friend.
Pour out your secret heart
the hidden part…the part no one sees
the part that is...

I Think About…
I think about you a lot these days
About the way you make me smile
When I have nothing to smile about
About the way you make me laugh
When my heart has no laughter left
About our playful banter
And the sense of excitement it brings
About how beautiful you are
The inner and outer amazing you
About hearing you laugh
What a wonderful sound
About holding you close
The secret security it brings
About the scent of shampoo in your hair

Awkward First Kiss
There she stands,
Notebook in her hands,
Hair tousled in the autumn breeze,
God, I hope I don’t sneeze.
Now one foot apart,
Here comes the awkward part.
Head tilted to the left or to the right?
First kiss...is it alright to bite?
Here we are face-to-face,
Should I put my arms around her waist?
Oh wait, her arms are around my neck,
Maybe it is not too late for a rain check?
Should I bend to meet her petite frame?
Oh my god, I forgot her name!
She is standing on the tips of her toes,
Do I have something...

Anatomy Of A Kiss
Crisp scent of cold weather,
Aroma of vanilla and old leather,
Crackling of a warm fire,
Heightening a romantic desire.
Moistening,
Tempting,
Flames flicker as eyes meet,
Knees trembling in retreat,
Hearts racing in anticipation
Lip touch, wet with expectation.
Searching,
Teasing,
Feelings like a river flood,
Oxytocin streaming in our blood,
Sexual desires careen,
Quickly boosted by dopamine.
Savoring,
Devouring.
Warm and fuzzy feeling,
Mind spinning and reeling, ...
