POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I'm not a poet. I'm a guy who writes words. Sometimes, people like those words. Sometimes they find meaning in them. And if I can keep doing that, then I'll be around.
Dream Sequence #1
I stand amongst them, an alien in their world. They survey me coldly at first, with their blurred faces and static pose. I look at my hands, they are blank are empty, fleshy pulps with no character or definition. As I stare at them, the world shifts around me, the detail of my fingers and hands returns sharply, the intricate spirals and swirls of my identity reveal themselves to me in perfect clarity. I learn that this is my world, and that I might change it to suit my purpose. I look at these people with love, as their clothes shift and change. The world they have come to love dissolves, and...

He is me
I dream of worlds where all is well,
where all is as it seems
Where you and I are one again
I long for my world of dreams.
Where you are still here with me,
where we know each other so well.
To some this place is heaven.
To me this place is hell.
You know I never knew you,
but at times we seem so close.
I look in to her eyes at times,
and swear in me she sees your ghost.
There is much that we can never say,
and long to come is our uniting day.
But know that you are always here.
Know it now, and have no fear.
where all is as it seems
Where you and I are one again
I long for my world of dreams.
Where you are still here with me,
where we know each other so well.
To some this place is heaven.
To me this place is hell.
You know I never knew you,
but at times we seem so close.
I look in to her eyes at times,
and swear in me she sees your ghost.
There is much that we can never say,
and long to come is our uniting day.
But know that you are always here.
Know it now, and have no fear.

We stand at a precipice; the turbulence of the rain that lashes down upon your back carries such meaning. You must make the choice. Now.
The desolating claps of thunder echo Heaven’s cries, and white-hot flames engulf the sky for seconds at a time.
There is much to consider, but a choice must be made.
And we stand at a precipice.
And when you take the leap, will you soar or crash?
The desolating claps of thunder echo Heaven’s cries, and white-hot flames engulf the sky for seconds at a time.
There is much to consider, but a choice must be made.
And we stand at a precipice.
And when you take the leap, will you soar or crash?

Motes
And together we stood, amidst waves of dust and darkness and despair.
And in the shadows, we could not see. She did not see me, nor did I see her. And she did not see me.
And from silence spoke such sweet seductions, like tendrils of a long lost lust slipping slyly down my ears.
“Dance with me.”
And she did not need music, nor light nor sight.
For together we danced without whispers all night.
With nothing but each other, with nothing but a touch.
And soon it was over, and light replaced our love.

Aaron
I took your place,
I took your face,
I took your love,
I took your life.
His eyes tell me every day,
what his voice could never say.
You were first, and you were last.
I am present, you are past.
You were perfect,
I am death.
You were miracle,
I am nightmare.
And I will never forget.
I took your heart,
I took your part,
I took your smile,
I took your soul.
I took your face,
I took your love,
I took your life.
His eyes tell me every day,
what his voice could never say.
You were first, and you were last.
I am present, you are past.
You were perfect,
I am death.
You were miracle,
I am nightmare.
And I will never forget.
I took your heart,
I took your part,
I took your smile,
I took your soul.
